Türkiye: Pegasus wants to establish subsidiary airlines abroad

The Turkish airline Pegasus Air intends to set up branches abroad that will have their own certificates. No countries have been explicitly named yet.

The portal CH-Aviation.com reports that, according to managing director Güliz Öztürk, these are states in the east. They want to make the establishment of offshoots dependent on whether they can secure more traffic rights under the existing AOC or whether they can achieve growth via local subsidiaries.

There are currently no plans to set up an offshoot in the European Union. Competitors such as Corendon and Freebird, for example, have local subsidiaries in Malta that fly from EU airports to destinations that could not be served with the Turkish AOC.
