The Easter holiday season is travel time, which is also reflected in the current booking figures: the planes to the popular medium-haul destinations are almost fully booked.

On medium-haul routes, Hurghada is currently ahead of Mallorca and the Canary Islands, on long-haul routes Dubai is ahead, followed by the Maldives and Mexico - this is the current booking ranking at Tui Austria. Due to the great demand for trips to the Red Sea, a second additional Easter flight with Austrian Airlines from April 9 to 16, 2022 from Vienna to Hurghada was added to the original flight program.

Despite the increase in airfields on medium-haul flights, some destinations will be tight during the Easter holidays. "We can see that the main holiday dates are in great demand again this year," says David Szabo, Head of Operations Tui Austria. “Even for the autumn holidays at the end of October we are seeing strong bookings. We have reacted accordingly and have already increased by 2.000 airfields to Cyprus and Hurghada.” For the Easter holidays there are currently places on the additional flight to Hurghada from Vienna on April 9th as well as remaining places with departures from April 8th to 11th to Crete, Antalya , Mallorca, Cyprus and the Canary Islands. Tui guests from Salzburg still have the choice between Sardinia (Olbia), Mallorca and Gran Canaria, from Linz there are still remaining places to Mallorca.
