Friedrich Joussen expresses it in concrete figures. In conversation with the FAZ the CEO chats from the sewing box: Tui has to shoulder 200 million euros in interest - per year! The rescue therefore demands a lot from the company. Nevertheless, he experiences the federal government in the role of the lender as a "factual and constructive investor." The group can bear the interest burden because it will reduce costs by around 400 million euros through digital transformation and by 100 million euros through fewer aircraft.
