The Vienna airport region is welcoming a significant new addition: TUI, Austria's largest tour operator, is moving its corporate headquarters to the modern AirportCity at Vienna Airport. This decision not only brings the company closer to its core business, but also strengthens the location as an internationally oriented, multifunctional operating area. Starting in spring 2025, around 120 TUI Austria employees will move into their new offices in Office Park 4, a modern complex that is characterized by the highest standards in technology and sustainability.
TUI's decision to move its central administration office to AirportCity underlines the company's ambition to keep pace with the dynamic development of the aviation and tourism industry. The proximity to the airport terminals and the ideal connection to the A4 East Autobahn and the B9 federal highway play a decisive role in this. TUI Managing Director Gottfried Math commented on the reasons: "The move of our company headquarters to the airport marks a significant step towards the future. With a modern, energy-efficient building, we are setting new standards in terms of economic efficiency."
This move is not only a strategic step for TUI, but also a win for Vienna Airport and the entire region. Flughafen Wien AG emphasizes the excellent conditions that AirportCity offers for companies. "With the proximity to the airport terminals, the direct connection to the motorway and the rail infrastructure as well as the modern office space, we are creating perfect conditions for companies to settle here," said Mag. Wolfgang Scheibenpflug, Head of Real Estate and Site Management at Flughafen Wien AG.
Office Park 4: A prime example of modern office space
TUI's decision to build its new headquarters in Office Park 4 is not only a step towards proximity to its core business, but also a commitment to the quality of the infrastructure at Vienna Airport. Office Park 4 is known as the most modern and sustainable office building in Austria. Around 26.000 m² of office and conference space is spread over ten levels, offering space for up to 2.500 employees. The building is characterized by advanced technology and innovative energy supply - including a geothermal system with 450 energy piles in the ground and a photovoltaic system on the roof. These measures are part of the sustainability concept that makes Office Park 4 a pioneer in modern office architecture.
The same complex also houses the Vienna Airport Conference & Innovation Center, a multifunctional co-working and event center that meets the needs of a wide range of companies. This infrastructure offers ideal conditions for TUI to optimize its working methods and hold events directly on site.
TUI as a leading player in the tourism industry
TUI is not only the largest package tour operator in Austria, but also an international company. With 62 of its own travel agencies and the online platform www.tui.at and the BCD Travel Austria brand in the business travel segment, the company is ideally positioned to meet the diverse requirements of its customers. TUI is part of the TUI Group, one of the world's leading tourism groups, with headquarters in Germany, and employs around 500 people in Austria.
AirportCity: An ideal location for companies
AirportCity at Vienna Airport is much more than just a place for air travel. With over 250 companies and more than 23.000 employees, it is a lively business location. The excellent transport links to the A4 East Autobahn, the B9 federal highway and the rail infrastructure make the location attractive for companies looking for both national and international connections. In addition, the modern office, co-working and event rooms offer ideal conditions for companies that want to make their operations efficient and future-oriented.
AirportCity is a prime example of the integration of commercial and commercial airport infrastructure and shows how important well-thought-out site development is for the attractiveness of a business location. TUI's establishment at Vienna Airport will be seen as a symbol of forward-looking development not only for the company, but also for the region and the entire tourism industry.
