The German holiday airline Tuifly has already started selling flight tickets for the winter period 2022/23. The Boeing 737 jets are to be stationed at five airports, according to the company.

“Before Corona” it was not uncommon for airlines to make their services bookable well over a year in advance. In the meantime, however, this has become the exception, because even large low-cost airlines tend to plan on sight. Of course, there is also the exact opposite, namely carriers who sell tickets which are then canceled because the (re) start of the route is repeatedly postponed.

In any case, Tuifly is setting two priorities in the winter flight plan 2022/23 with the Canary Islands and Egypt. From five airports, the plan is to offer a total of 14 holiday destinations. However, since a long time will pass before the next winter period, it is to be expected that the Tui daughter will still be able to add more.

“We expect that travel will continue to normalize in the coming year and we are therefore the first holiday airline to publish our winter flight schedule, so that our guests can plan their vacation around the coveted Christmas holidays in good time. More than half of the flights will then set course again for the Canary Islands, which are in great demand not only because of their mild climate, but also scored points during the pandemic as a reliable destination with proven corona protection measures, "says Oliver Lackmann, Managing Director of Tuifly GmbH.

Also in the coming winter, the numerous dream stands will make Fuerteventura a top destination in the flight schedule with 22 weekly departures from Hanover, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Stuttgart and Munich. But in addition to the Canaries, Hurghada, the Cape Verde Islands and Madeira are also very popular with winter vacationers.

Long-term vacation planning on the one hand and flexibility on the other do not have to be mutually exclusive, because TUI's rebooking options allow guests to easily adapt their vacation to changed travel plans. This means that package tours can still be booked at the flex rate and can therefore be rebooked or canceled free of charge up to 14 days before arrival. There is also a similar model for flight-only guests: If you book a ticket with the Perfect fare, you can rebook your flight up to seven days before departure and free of charge and also have a piece of luggage and a snack with a drink in the Travel price included.
