Star Alliance member Turkish Airlines has been flying to Bremen Airport in Germany for ten years. The airport thus has a connection to the Istanbul hub, which can be used to reach around 300 destinations in 128 countries.

Bangkok, Dubai, Tehran and Johannesburg have been some of the most popular connecting destinations over the past ten years. "Turkish Airlines' launch of flights to Istanbul ten years ago was an important milestone in the development of our airport," said airport boss Marc Cezanne on the occasion of the anniversary. "Since that day, we have had a strong and reliable partnership with Turkish Airlines, which is very important to us. The daily flights from Bremen to the Istanbul hub are a central part of our route offering. Business travelers, vacationers and families appreciate not only the direct connection to the wonderful metropolis of Istanbul, but also the connection to the worldwide route network of Turkish Airlines. We would like to thank Turkish Airlines and the very dedicated colleagues at Turkish Airlines for the excellent cooperation over the past ten years and look forward to our future together at Bremen Airport.”

Turkish Airlines now flies daily from Bremen to Istanbul, and from June 2022 the number of flights will be increased to ten flights a week. Over the past ten years, more than 8.000 flights with almost a million passengers have been handled on the Bremen-Istanbul route.
