Turkish Airlines reports $233 million quarterly profit

Star Alliance member Turkish Airlines ended the first quarter of this year with a net profit of $233 million. According to their own statements, this is a new record.

Revenue for the first quarter of 2023 was $4,4 billion, an increase of 43% compared to the same period in 2022. Turkish Airlines thus recorded the highest first-quarter revenue in the company's history. Passenger revenue, which accounts for 84% of total revenue, grew 83% from the same period last year to more than $3,6 billion.
