According to a report by the state news agency Anadolu, the airline Turkish Airlines is about to receive a large order from the European manufacturer Airbus. The order should include 355 machines.
It would be the largest single order to date in the Turkish aviation company's 90-year history. According to the report, the order will also include 85 Airbus A350-900s and 15 A350-1000s. Five A350F freighters could also be included. There is also talk of around 25 A321neos being procured.
People familiar with the matter have confirmed to Turkish state media that the airline has already held discussions with Rolls-Royce over the terms of the delivery of A350 replacement engines and engine maintenance. If an agreement is reached with Airbus, an announcement could be made as part of the Dubai Air Show.
