The US Navy has decided to order the Beechcraft King Air 260 from Textron as a new multi-engine training system. In the first step, ten units are ordered.

Lots II and III, if options are exercised, would each procure up to 27 aircraft, scheduled for delivery between 2024 and 2026. The Beechcraft King Air 260 will replace the Chief of Naval Air Training (CNATRA) T-44C Pegasus fleet, which has been in service since 1977.
