The Independent Flight Attendant Organization (UFO) welcomes the takeover of 51 percent of the shares in Condor by the financial investor Attestor. This step was made possible after the EU Commission had approved the takeover and granted state aid approval for the closing of the deal.

“The successful takeover is a positive sign for all employees at Condor. During the Corona crisis, we made a decisive contribution to ensuring that Condor can now look to a bright future, ”said Anja Bronstert, Deputy Chairwoman of the UFO.

The flight attendant organization had concluded new collective wage agreements and general collective agreements in May of this year. The basis for this was a union key issues paper on new collective bargaining conditions that had been agreed in January 2020 when the investor PGL was supposed to take over Condor.

"With the conclusion of competitive collective agreements, UFO and Condor are proving that a functioning social partnership makes a decisive contribution to overcoming crises, securing employment and still asserting oneself in the highly competitive long and medium-haul tourist market," concluded Bronstert.
