The German flight attendant union UFO carried out the election of the board on Wednesday. Due to the corona pandemic, this was carried out electronically and by post. A total of seven board members were elected, with chairwoman Anja Bronstert confirmed in office.

“My colleague on the board, Wolfgang Heriban, and I are very pleased that the board is now fully occupied by seven highly motivated people. The constitution of the new board is planned for April 28th. From this point on, the new board of directors, to which I belong again thanks to the election of the members, will reorganize the UFO in a solution and goal-oriented manner together with all committees, so that the internal quarrels are a thing of the past ”, says Anja Bronstert, UFO chairwoman .

At the last general meeting in February of this year, the UFO members had previously changed the statutes and election regulations at the request of the union's internal policy commission (GruKo). As a result, the choice of personality has taken the place of the previously usual team choice. A total of 10 candidates from four airlines ran for election. For reasons of minority protection, according to the UFO statutes, medium-sized and smaller airlines are entitled to a total of three of the seven board seats.

The new UFO board is composed as follows:

  • Catherine Berndt, Lufthansa
  • Christian Boette-Lüdemann, Condor
  • Anja Bronstert, German Wings
  • Anja Junck, Lufthansa
  • Daniel Kassa Mbuambi, Lufthansa
  • Stefan sword helmet, Lufthansa
  • Joachim Vázquez Bürger, Lufthansa CityLine
