The African airline Uganda Airlines won the “CH-Aviation World's Youngest Aircraft Fleet Award 2021”. The average age of the fleet is 1,15 years, which is significantly younger than, for example, many European airlines.

With the Youngest Aircraft Fleet Award, CH-Aviation honors airlines from all over the world that have young, modern and efficient fleets. Operators who want to keep their aircraft fleets young and deploy new generations of aircraft make a significant contribution to reducing carbon dioxide and greenhouse gas emissions in the aviation industry and are more fuel efficient.

“The CH-Aviation Youngest Aircraft Fleet Award recognizes airlines worldwide for keeping their fleets young, modern and efficient. Operators who keep their aircraft fleets young and use new generations of aircraft make a significant contribution to reducing CO2 emissions in the aviation industry and help.We congratulate Uganda Airlines and all other airlines that have won the award this year for their efforts to improve their fleets to renew and thus make flying more environmentally friendly. It is important to say that this award is based solely on non-manipulable prices on fleet data. There is no jury or other subjective parameters ”, says Thomas Jäger, CEO at CH-Aviation.
