In the UK, Ryanair and the British Air Line Pilots' Association have reached a collective bargaining agreement. This includes, among other things, that pilots will receive salary increases up to and including 2026.

The agreement is important because the pilots agreed to temporary wage cuts in the wake of the corona pandemic. In the last two years, the salaries of British Ryanair pilots have been significantly reduced. The current agreement was already confirmed in a ballot by the members.

“We welcome the outcome of the ballot vote among our UK pilots, which has shown strong support for the agreement negotiated with BALPA. As we continue to recover from the impact of the pandemic and our industry faces significant challenges, this long-term agreement provides stability, accelerated pay recovery, future pay increases and other performance improvements for our UK pilots,” said Ryanair Human Resources Director Darrell Hughes.

Ryanair pilots will receive pay rises in the coming years once their salaries are fully restored. They will also receive additional benefits, although Ryanair and BALPA have not given further details on this.
