After less than two months, the Ukrainian airline Air Ocean Airlines had to cease flight operations. Officially it is said that it should only be a break until the beginning of March 2022.

The carrier's fleet most recently consisted of two Antonov An-148s and one An-24 operated by Motor Sich Airlines under a wet lease agreement. Domestic destinations Lviv, Kharkiv, Chernivtsi and Zaporizhia were offered from Kiev-Zhuliany. There were also decentralized routes between the cities mentioned and transfer connections via Kiev. You've started just a few weeks ago.

What is interesting, however, is the reason why Air Ocean Airlines has suspended flight operations – at least temporarily. It is not stated that there are problems with capacity utilization or sales, but rather that the takeover of additional machines is delayed and that a temporary break is therefore necessary.

The competition within Ukraine is quite tough. On some routes, up to four carriers are matched from Kiev or Borispil. A little overview in this report.
