The Austrian airline Austrian Airlines – like all other carriers – is currently not allowed to fly to Ukraine. The background is that the Eastern European state was attacked by the Russian army. AUA has now canceled all Ukraine flights until March 26, 2022.

“Due to the current situation in Ukraine, Austrian Airlines is suspending all flights to Ukraine up to and including March 26, 2022. Flights to Kiev (KBP) and Odessa (ODS) have been canceled since Monday, February 21, and the connection to Lviv (LWO) has also been suspended since today. We continue to monitor the situation closely and are in close contact with national and international authorities. There are no overflights in Ukrainian airspace. The safety of our passengers and crew members is our top priority at all times," said a company spokeswoman.

At present it is not foreseeable whether the date given by Austrian Airlines can "keep" in any way. Ukraine was attacked by Russia and the further development of this crisis is not foreseeable.
