The Ukrainian low-cost airline Bees Airline was no longer flying itself before the army of the Russian Federation invaded Ukraine. The lessors confiscated the machines due to the acute danger of war. Now the low-coster has also lost its AOC and operating license.
In the immediate run-up to the Russian-instigated war in Ukraine, numerous Lessors demanded that their planes be evacuated from the country immediately. In addition to SkyUp, Ukraine International and other providers, Bees Airline was also affected. In one fell swoop there were no more machines to disposal. ACMI solutions were used temporarily, but a few days later the government ordered a general flight ban on civilian aircraft due to the Russian attack. This is still going on.
Bees Airlines hasn't flown a meter in a few months. Regardless of how the war develops, it could still be a long time before this carrier can take off again, because the Civil Aviation Authority of Ukraine has revoked the AOC and operating license. The company no longer meets the requirements. It is possible that you can get this back - if all the regulations are met - but a new test procedure has to be carried out.
Just a few days ago, Bees Airline caused one patriotically worded letters to customers cause a stir. In this one asked for donations for projects to be supported by the specially founded organization "Bees for Future". The wording surrounding the appeal differed greatly from comparable letters. Aviation.Direct recently tested the low-cost airline's product on the Yerevan-Odessa route. The report can be found with this link.
