At Ukraine International, 1.000 employees have lost their jobs since the beginning of the corona crisis. The company previously employed 2.560 people. According to the airline, the downsizing took place in order to optimize operations.

Last year a total of 1,79 million passengers were carried. In 2019 Ukraine International had around eight million travelers. The number of flight movements decreased to around 17.000 take-offs and landings. The freight and mail volume also fell significantly. In 2019 you still had 15,1 million kilograms with you, in the previous year it was only 4,8 million kilograms. The mail volume was reduced from 4,4 million kilograms to 1,35 million kilograms.

With a view to the summer flight schedule of 2021, the Ukrainian airline plans to operate 43 international routes. In addition, seven routes are to be flown within Ukraine. The capacity should be around 64 percent of 2019.
