Ukraine: SkyUp celebrates fifth birthday

Under the unfavorable circumstances of the war, the Ukrainian low-cost airline SkyUp Airlines is celebrating its five-year anniversary. The carrier took off for the first time in 2018.

Before the Russian invasion of Ukraine, SkyUp was always on a growth trajectory. That changed abruptly. Currently, the company offers no scheduled flights but operates outside Ukraine in the ACMI and charter business. Its subsidiary, SkyUp MT, based in Malta, was recently launched.
