Survey: 23 percent of Austrians want to go on vacation over Pentecost

A survey carried out on behalf of the Austrian Hoteliers' Association has shown that around 23 percent of Austrians want to use the long Pentecost weekend for a holiday. Of these, around 53 percent want to stay in Germany.

On behalf of the ÖHV, the Mindtake Institute asked 1.000 residents of the Alpine republic about their holiday plans for the Pentecost weekend. 23 percent stated that they wanted to take a vacation. Of this group of people, 53 percent want to stay in Austria. Most popular with domestic holidaymakers at Pentecost: Styria with 21%, Carinthia with 18% and Upper Austria with 13%. 18% of the Austrians surveyed were still undecided whether they wanted to use the days off for vacation.
