A current survey has shown that six out of ten Austrians want to travel during the summer of 2022. Of these, 46 percent want to spend their holidays within Austria.

This is the conclusion of a survey conducted by Mindtake on behalf of the Austrian Hoteliers Association. 1.000 residents were asked about their vacation plans for the summer of 2022.

The professional association of hoteliers sees the result as positive, because just under half of those surveyed want to spend their holidays in Germany. ÖHV President Walter Veit advises those who have not yet booked to make a decision quickly: "Here and there it's getting tight, but you can still find free rooms in all categories and price ranges". The lake regions in Carinthia, Salzburg and Styria are said to be particularly busy at the moment.
