In a current survey, around three quarters of Austrians are in favor of the corona measures to be tightened or relaxed regionally in the future. The opening of gastronomy in the state of Vorarlberg is supported by 70 percent of those surveyed.
Between March 15 and 22, 2021, the BB Research Affairs institute surveyed a total of 1.000 people about their attitudes towards the regionalization of corona measures. 31 percent stated that they "strongly support" this and 43 percent would "tend to support it". On the other hand, 15 percent “tend to reject” and 11 percent “completely reject”.
Entering the catering trade with a test is popular with 57 percent of those surveyed. After all, 37 percent of Austrians state that they have themselves tested at least once a week. 30 percent can only be tested when necessary. 20 percent completely reject tests. “The results show that the population longs for freedom, but is ready to accept restrictions if the number of infections increases in individual regions. The infection process varies from region to region. Accordingly, measures should not be lumped together, ”explains study author Sabine Beinschab.
