Various airlines and IATA are currently anticipating that the vaccination card could become the “second passport” in the future. Various countries could make a vaccination against Covid-19 a basic requirement for entry.
According to a recent survey by the news magazine “Profil”, the willingness to vaccinate among the Austrian population is around 50 percent. The survey carried out by the polling institute yielded the following results:
- 31 percent would Get vaccinated "for sure"if they had the opportunity from now on.
- 20 percent say "rather yes"
- 24 percent reject a vaccination strictly off
- 19 percent are "Rather" averse
In a direct comparison with a survey carried out by an institute in November 2020 on behalf of the free newspaper “Heute”, the willingness to vaccinate has increased in Austria, the news magazine “Profil” sums up.
In the November survey that was made for “Today”, 27 percent of those questioned still strictly refused a Covid vaccination. The biggest shift, however, was in the segment of the already open-minded. The proportion of those who are “sure to be vaccinated” has risen from 19 percent to 31 percent in the past few months. The number of die-hard vaccine opponents remained almost the same (November 2020: 21 percent, January 2021: 24 percent). (n = 500 fluctuation range: +/- 4,4 percentage points).
