Star Alliance member United Airlines will not take delivery of seven Boeing 737-Max and three Boeing 787-10s scheduled for delivery this year until next year. This emerges from the carrier's latest quarterly report.
As a result, United plans to take delivery of 43 Boeing 737 Max and five B787-10 this year. With the latter type of machine, however, this is not set in stone, as the necessary green light from the US Civil Aviation Authority (FAA) is still pending.
"We currently expect full-year 2022 adjusted capital expenditures to be approximately $5,2 billion, which will be lower as fewer aircraft are actually delivered," said Chief Financial Officer Gerald Laderman.
