The United States of America want to take the airlines under the wings with another aid package worth 14 billion US dollars. So far, the state has made a total of 54 billion US dollars for the industry.

Aid funds of eight billion US dollars have been announced for the airports, which have also been badly hit by the Corona crisis. Congress clears the way for the measures on Wednesday. The US has so far implemented three rescue packages for the aviation industry.

Independently of this, American Airlines wants to organize a further five billion US dollars in the form of two bonds on the capital market. In addition, a $ 2,5 billion loan is planned. It is a debt rescheduling cation because the money is to be used to repay other loans that were taken out during the corona pandemic. By the way, American Airlines offers the frequent flyer program as security.
