Uzbekistan Airways wants to set up a low-cost airline with four Airbus A320-200s. This is to be established as a sub-brand under the licenses of the existing airline. At the same time, the long-haul fleet is to be expanded by three Airbus A321LR.

The government intends to let the state airlines grow strongly in the next few years. On the one hand, they want to improve connectivity with additional long-haul machines and, on the other hand, address new customer groups with a low-cost brand. According to CH-Aviation.com, the start of the new low-cost brand is planned for the third quarter of 2021. The aircraft required for this come from the stand of Uzbekistan Airways. It is currently not planned that the low-cost operation should be located in its own AOC.

The state airline of Uzbekistan plans to purchase three Airbus A321LRs through lessors. These are to be used on long-haul flights. Information on the origin of these jets has not yet been given. Neither the government nor the carrier commented on possible new routes from Tashkent.
