The Canadian airport Vancouver International wants to separate vaccinated and unvaccinated passengers in the future. This is done in preparation for the opening of the borders, which is to be carried out gradually by September 7, 2021.

It is no longer separated according to status card or national or foreigner, but according to vaccinated or not vaccinated. Corresponding signs have already been put up in the passenger halls. What is the point and purpose of that? That is quite unclear, because the groups of people are brought together again in the plane or when leaving the terminal at the latest.

“Racial segregation” is really a harsh word! Even if you put it in quotation marks, it has no place on an aviation news page! I would be careful to use this language, which has long belonged in the history books, in connection with Covid.

I find the word “racial segregation” generally unnecessary and completely inappropriate in this context. Pretty useless information from this article, I'm not used to aviation.direct. It's a shame, hopefully just a one-off slip ...
