There is currently no works council or collective agreement at Eurowings Discover. The unions UFO and Vereinigung Cockpit want to change that. With the help of works meetings one wants to persuade the flying personnel to establish an employee committee.

“In a first step, VC and UFO will jointly invite their cabin and cockpit colleagues to a staff meeting,” says Stefan Herth, President of the Cockpit Association. "We are actively committed to the establishment of a works council and are convinced that the employees have an interest in employee participation at their airline."

“A company can only grow healthily through a functioning social partnership. It is possible to find sustainable solutions that take into account the business perspective of the employer and the desire of the employees for good working conditions and fair remuneration, ”adds Anja Bronstert, Deputy Chairwoman of the UFO.

The primary aim of union activity is to have a works council. Then you want to reach a collective agreement for Eurowings Discover. In contrast to other group members, neither of these has so far existed.
