On Saturday, June 11, 2022, the Austrian air traffic control Austro Control is again organizing an applicant day. This will again take place in person on site. In the past two years, the pandemic had to switch to online formats.

Anyone who would like to become an air traffic controller and is interested in this exciting and challenging job can get live information directly from Austro Control again on June 11, 2022. The new Austro Control visitor center opens up an insight into the world of air traffic control. The Recruiting Day program includes a fascinating look behind the scenes of air traffic control, including a visit to our 360° tower simulator. Personal talks with air traffic controllers about the training and everyday work round off the Recruiting Day program.

We are looking for high school graduates who have good spatial imagination, are stress-resistant and enjoy working in a team. Prerequisite for acceptance as a trainee is the passing of a multi-stage selection process with a final assessment center and a positive medical check by a pilot. The training lasts around three years and takes place at the Austro Control training center in Vienna.
