The Verdi trade union and Rostock-Laage Airport have agreed on a new collective agreement that will come into force on April 1, 2022. Among other things, the 92 employees at the regional airport will receive a three percent increase in wages.

This airport has been owned by the Zeitfracht Group since the beginning of 2022. This took over Rostock-Laage Airport from the public sector for around 200.000 euros. In the future, the aim is to develop the air freight segment in particular. The Group's own airline German Airways will also use this as a home base.

Among other things, the collective agreement with Verdi also provides for the surcharges granted for work on Sundays and public holidays to be improved. The term of the framework and wage agreement is two years. Both sides of the negotiation described the climate of the talks as very good.
