Verdi and Aerologic agree on collective agreement

Advertising

The cargo airline Aerologic and Verdi have reached an agreement on a collective agreement for the approximately 600 pilots. However, not all pilots belong to this union, as many are organized in the Cockpit Association.

It was agreed that Aerologic pilots should receive wage increases of between 2023 and 8,5 percent by the end of 24,6. The term of the collective agreement is 15 months, according to Verdi in a media statement. In the future, salaries should range between 64.000 and 208.000 euros per year. Shift allowances are included. Furthermore, additional vacation days and company pension schemes are included in the collective bargaining agreement.

Due to a change in the law, employers in Germany no longer have to conclude different collective agreements with different unions. The principle applies that those employee representatives with the largest number of members get a chance. According to their own information, there are collective agreements at Easyjet and European Air Transport. At Eurowings, they compete with the Cockpit Association for a deal.
