Judgment: Volga-Dnepr Logistics BV has to pay for AirBridgeCargo's outstanding lease payments

Russia's AirBridgeCargo has been ordered by a US court to pay BOC Aviation $406,2 million in outstanding lease payments. Notably, the Dutch Volga-Dnepr Logistics BV was sued and found liable.

Since the Russian Federation troops invaded Ukraine, the airline has not paid lease payments for the planes leased by the Bank of China subsidiary. The court is of the opinion that the government has literally confiscated the planes and that this does not allow BOC Aviation to have them chained up in Russia. Whether Volga-Dnepr Logistics BV is able to pay the sum is still completely open.
