The government of the United Arab Emirates will only allow fully vaccinated people to leave the country from January 10, 2022. Unvaccinated people are subject to a comprehensive travel ban from this point in time.

The new regulation applies primarily to residents of the United Arab Emirates, because unvaccinated tourists can only enter in a few exceptional cases. Depending on the emirate, the entry and quarantine regulations are different. However, the travel ban for unvaccinated residents should apply to the entire state.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that proof of a booster vaccination against Covid-19 must be demonstrated before traveling abroad. Otherwise the departure will not be permitted. There are exceptions for people who can prove that they cannot be vaccinated for health reasons. There are also special regulations in the event that you would like to take advantage of medical treatment abroad.
