In May 2020, the first months of the CoV-19 pandemic in Austria, Vienna Airport launched one of the world's first test stations at an airport.

Since then, over 300.000 antigen and PCR tests have been carried out, sometimes over 1500 tests per day. At peak times in 2020, this corresponded to around 10 percent of the test volume across Austria. The offer is still available: the test station is open seven days a week. The PCR test result is available within a few hours and on the same day, as the airport reports. The antigen test result would be available even after 30 minutes. The tests are carried out in the Health Center in Office Park 3 at Vienna Airport, registration is not required.

The test offer is available from Monday to Sunday, from 7.00 a.m. to 14.00 p.m. The PCR test costs €69 for adults and only €18 for children and young people up to the age of 49. For antigen tests, the price is €25 for adults and €15 for children/adolescents up to the age of 18.

Unfortunately, as my Emirates flight is late in the evening, the offer is not viable. The antigen test should be possible until 20:00.
