The passenger numbers of the Flughafen Wien Group (Vienna Airport, Malta Airport and Kosice Airport) are 2021 percent below the pre-crisis level in September 47,0, but at 2.017.275 travelers they are more than twice as high as in September of the previous year .

The Vienna Airport location also recorded 1.575.315 passengers, more than doubling compared to September 2020 and is thus 47,1 percent below the pre-crisis level of September 2019. At Malta Airport, the volume in September 2021 fell by 45,1 percent compared to the pre-crisis level back and Kosice Airport recorded a decrease in passengers of 62,9 percent.

The traffic figures at Vienna Airport compared to the pre-crisis level in September 2019: The number of local passengers in Vienna fell by 45,5 percent, the number of transfer passengers fell by 52,1 percent. Aircraft movements recorded a minus of 2021 percent in September 39,4 and the freight volume fell by 13,9 percent compared to the pre-crisis level. Compared to September 2020, however, the values ​​have already increased significantly - Vienna Airport recorded more than twice as many passengers.

The number of passengers at Vienna Airport to Western Europe fell in September 2021 by 44,7 percent compared to the pre-crisis period, and to Eastern Europe by 46,2 percent. Passenger numbers to North America fell by 55,2 percent compared to the pre-crisis level and Africa recorded a 72,9 percent decline. In the Near and Middle East, the number of passengers fell by more than half (51,4 percent) and in the Far East by as much as 97,8 percent.
