With Vienna Airport, things are continuing to improve economically. In November, the number of passengers in particular increased sharply. Nevertheless, the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic are still being felt.

The group's passenger numbers - including the Malta and Kosice airports - were 50 percent below the pre-crisis level in November, but at 1.447.572 travelers were more than six times as high as a year ago. At Vienna-Schwechat airport there were also 1.116.064 passengers, a six-fold increase within a year, but a decrease of 53 percent compared to November 2019. The current positive trend is also reflected in the number of flight connections. Around 150 destinations are currently being offered in the current winter flight schedule. However, overall, of course, we are still a long way from reaching the level of 2019. Aircraft movements recorded a 2021 percent decline in November 39,8 and freight volume fell by 7,9 percent compared to the pre-crisis level.
