It borders on a miracle that Air India has not yet blessed the time. The heavily indebted airline has been making losses for years and has faced bankruptcy several times. The Indian state is still protecting the national airline from this, but it is now to be sold. Namely to the airline Vistara.

Vistara is only a few years old joint venture between the Indian industrial conglomerate Tata and the well-known airline Singapore Airlines. The two business partners now want to stir up the Indian aviation market and submit an offer. However, Singapore Airlines would act with the reservation that they can get through the crisis safely, like the news portal Swiss Aviation reported. Otherwise the carrier is eliminated.

In India, there is speculation that Tata could make an offer even without the partner's support. It does not seem realistic, however, since the two joint venture partners agreed a few years ago not to invest in another airline in India at the same time. Logically, Tata will do everything possible to get the partner on board. One can be curious.
