The Russian Volga-Dnepr Airlines reactivated the first of ten Antonov An-2020s towards the end of 124. Previously, these were not used for about a month for the purpose of extensive checks. In November 2020, the RA-82042 had to make an emergency landing after an engine defect that occurred during take-off.

The machine was damaged in the process, but there were no casualties. The RA-82077 was the first unit to be returned to freight service and completed the Leipzig-Shanghai route on December 26, 2020. Incidentally, the two other An-124 operators, Maximus Airlines and Antonov Airlines, did not conduct a temporary grounding for this type of machine.
