Volocopter completed the first test flight with its 2X aircraft in Seoul.

This was the first public piloted test flight of an electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) air taxi in South Korea at all. During the five-minute piloted test flight at Gimpo International Airport, the Volocopter 2X flew a distance of around 3 kilometers, reached a maximum height of 50 meters and a top speed of around 45 km / h.

“We are very honored to conduct the first eVTOL public manned test flight here in South Korea. Once again, it gives us the chance to prove that the future of air taxis with Volocopters aircraft begins here and now. We look forward to working closely with partners from the public and private sectors to jointly bring electric air taxis to South Korea, ”said Florian Reuter, Volocopter CEO.
