The low-cost airline Volotea wants to have a total of 2021 planes in the air in the summer of 39. In direct comparison with the previous year, that's three more jets. The carrier will increasingly rely on the Airbus A320 in the future, because according to the media release, 15 copies were secured.

For years the Boeing 717 formed the backbone of the Volotea fleet. You were the last European operator of this model, however, the last units were only recently phased out. The replacement is Airbus A319, which has been in fleet for some time.

Without further communication, Volotea organized itself this year the first Airbus A320. These are used aircraft. A total of 15 units are to be added to the fleet over the next few years. The carrier relies on a mix of A319 and A320. In the previous year, the lowcoster wants its own information have reached a noticeably high occupancy rate.

The Spanish low-cost airline currently has 20 Airbus A319s. Another medium-haul jet of this type is to be taken over shortly. This year, five A320s are to join the fleet. The first machine was given the livery of the lowcoster in Ostrava, Czech Republic. Due to the corona pandemic, only seven A2020s are in use in the current 21/319 winter flight schedule period. The remaining copies are on hold.
