After Zeitfracht parted with Blue Air and the airline Walter was wound up due to bankruptcy, WDL is now relying on the German Bundesliga.

WDL Aviation has probably discovered the world of sports for itself: The subsidiary of the Zeitfracht Group is currently making one of its aircraft available to various German Bundesliga clubs and transports teams such as Union Berlin or Fortuna Düsseldorf to away games. This means that they are now banking on the soccer charter business.

As early as May, the company, which after the demise of LGW now forms German Airways alone, had the word / figurative mark “Liga Flieger” registered, such as aerotelegraph.com reported. With this new business model, the aim is apparently to curb a little the losses that were suffered after the Swedish wet lease customer Braathens went out.
