In order to comply with the location requirements, which were agreed as part of the state financing package, Österreichische Beteiligungs AG (ÖBAG) sent the auditor Christine Catasta and the Vienna IV President Christian C. Pochtler to the board of the Austrian Aviation Private Foundation, the majority owner of Austrian Airlines. In addition, 63-year-old Catasta became a member of the supervisory board of Austrian Airlines, from which the previous client Karin Exner-Wöhrer will leave on November 03rd, 2020.

“I would like to thank Karin Exner-Wöhrer for the consistently constructive cooperation in this very challenging time. At the same time, I am delighted that we are able to welcome two proven economic experts, Christine Catasta and Christian C. Pochtler as representatives of ÖBAG, to our committees ”, announced Christina Foerster, chairman of the supervisory board. Both new committee members will ensure compliance with the agreed location requirements in the ÖLP and in the Austrian Airlines AG supervisory board.

The Austrian Airlines AG supervisory board continues to consist of six members. Christina Foerster will continue to be the chairman of the Supervisory Board, Detlef Kayser and Veit Schmid-Schmidsfelden will remain members of the Supervisory Board as capital representatives. On the employee side, René Pfister and Rainer Stratberger are posted. Lufthansa confirmed the two new nominations as of October 27, 2020.
