Couple planning to sue Hawaiian Airlines over dead bulldog

In the United States of America, passengers whose bulldog died on a flight from Las Vegas to Honolulu are going to court. The incident occurred last Friday at Hawaiian Airlines.

According to the owners, the animal was around a year old at the time of the trip and is said to have been examined by a vet two days before departure and found to be healthy. The young bulldog did not survive the flight to Hawaii. The couple who owned the dog now want to go to court. The argument is that they paid about $ 10.000 for the bulldog. But it's not just about the money, because you also suffer psychologically from the loss of your four-legged friend.

The owner told Hawaii News, among other things, that the airline informed her with an emotionless phone call that the animal had died and that someone would get in touch. However, according to this information, the airline should not have made any further contact and calls from the owner of the deceased animal would not have led to any further information.

Hawaiian Airlines sees the situation completely differently and stated on request that live animals would be transported with greater care. Furthermore, one would have been in contact with the owners since last Friday and regret that the bulldog has passed away. You want to wait for the results of an autopsy before taking any further steps. The carrier's media office did not respond to the threat of a lawsuit.

In an interview, the US airline emphasized that it is supposedly the only airline that would transport so-called snub-nosed dogs within the United States of America. They generally handle the transport of animals more strictly than other airlines and casually point out that bulldogs are prone to breathing problems. An autopsy is supposed to bring to light why the dog carried in the hold died.
