The Chamber of Labor of Lower Austria is again setting up an information stand at Vienna-Schwechat Airport this year. On the spot, they want to inform passengers about their rights, among other things, and provide them with advice and support.

“Vacation time is the most valuable time of the year for employees. In view of the rising cost of living, vacations have become all the more precious. We are therefore again this year at the side of the travelers with advice and action, so that they are informed as best as possible in the event of problems and get their rights," says AK Lower Austria Vice President Horst Pammer.

Until August 14th, the consumer advocates of the Chamber of Labor of Lower Austria will be available at a dedicated information desk in Terminal 1 at Vienna-Schwechat Airport for tips and questions – on Fridays from 14 p.m. to 19 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. "In order to inform as many vacationers as possible, we are already on site at the weekends when the charter planes depart early in the morning," says AK travel expert Sandra Nowak. At the information desk, travelers can also get the “Gute Reise” brochure with all the important tips on problems relating to holidays and flights. Thousands of holidaymakers use this service year after year.

"Especially now that problems often arise on the journey to the holiday destination, we are all the more pleased to be able to help as a local contact," says AK Lower Austria Director Bettina Heise.

Even if the desire to travel is particularly high - the topic of Corona is unfortunately not off the table. "It is therefore best to find out in advance on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs whether there are currently any special regulations or entry requirements at your holiday destination. And for the current situation: Be sure to be at the airport on time,” advises Nowak.
