Flughafen Wien AG mourns the loss of the architect of the terminal areas at Pier East and West. Franz Fehringer was architecturally involved in the expansion of the airport from 1980 to 2000. The striking piers shape the appearance of Vienna Airport to this day.

Terminals 1, 1A and 2 are currently temporarily closed due to the corona pandemic. All passenger air traffic is handled through Terminal 3. For this reason, the east and west piers are currently not in use.

The board members of Flughafen Wien AG, Julian Jäger and Günther Ofner, extend their deepest condolences and condolences to his family and relatives.
