The subsidiary airports in Luqa and Kosice were hit even harder: Malta had only 0,5 percent of the previous year's passengers and the Slovak airport did not handle any passengers.

In the Corona month of May 2020, Vienna Airport recorded a decline of 99,3 percent. This trend continued at the beginning of June 2020, however, due to increased offers and renewed travel freedom, an increase is expected from June 15, 2020.

In May 2020, the effects of the global COVID-19 crisis were still clearly felt: The number of passengers at the Flughafen Wien Group (Vienna Airport, Malta Airport and Kosice Airport) fell by 99,4 percent to 23.283 travelers. The Vienna Airport location recorded a decline of 99,3 percent to 20.202 travelers.
