The passenger whose behavior led to an unscheduled landing of an Airbus A321 at Vienna-Schwechat Airport a few days ago is now getting a hefty bill from Jet2.

The company charges the lady for the cost of the stopover in Austria. Jet2 wants to see £5.000 from the woman. She was also put on the "black list" and will no longer be carried by this airline for life. Jet2 explained, among other things, that the aggressive behavior of the passenger would not be tolerated.

En route from Manchester to Antalya, the woman escalated aboard a Jet321 Airbus A2. The captain decided for an unscheduled stopover at Vienna-Schwechat Airport, where the lady was removed from the plane by the Austrian police. The journey was then continued – without the troublemaker.

The additional costs that Jet2 wants reimbursed are independent of any penalty that a court may impose. Imprisonment of up to two years can also be imposed in the United Kingdom. It is currently still unclear whether the woman will be brought to justice in Austria or the UK.
