The low-cost airline Wizz Air will not offer the destinations Cologne/Bonn, Valencia and Billund in the 2022 summer flight schedule from Vienna-Schwechat. The three routes have been withdrawn from sale and can only be booked again in the 2022/23 winter period.

Likewise, Las Palmas (Gran Canaria) will be temporarily suspended in midsummer. The route is not scheduled to be served between August 11 and September 25, 2022. The route to Cologne/Bonn cannot be booked for the entire summer timetable period. The resumption is not planned until the beginning of November 2022. When asked which cuts or cancellations will be made from Vienna, Wizz Air simply replied: "Wizz Air is continuously monitoring demand and making appropriate changes to the flight schedule". Originally, the Hungarian low-cost airline had for the current winter period 43 destinations planned. However, significantly fewer are served.
