In contrast to its competitors, the Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air is pausing its Germany flights from Vienna-Schwechat. Dortmund is to be served three times a week again from September 4, 2021.

The carrier plans to reactivate the route to Cologne / Bonn on September 6, 2021. For the time being, three weekly circuits are to be offered on this route as well. Due to the corona pandemic, both routes were discontinued, resumed and then suspended several times.

Wizz Air announced that they intend to serve both Dortmund and Cologne / Bonn again from Vienna-Schwechat from the beginning of September 2021, but with this provider it happens exceptionally often that the recording date is pushed back again at short notice and without further communication . An example of this is the presence in Salzburgwhich was suspended after a short "guest performance" and has been postponing its comeback for almost a year.
