At the world aviation association IATA, the change in leadership that was announced some time ago has taken place. At the top is now the former IAG boss Willie Walsh. He resigned from his position the previous year, but did not hold out the “pension” for long and was elected as the new President of IATA.

Walsh succeeds Alexandre de Juniac, who prior to his leadership position at the World Aviation Association of the Air France-KLM Group. "The IATA team is fully focused on restoring the freedom of travel that airlines enable billions of people around the world," said the new IATA Director General. Walsh also said: "Airlines do everything possible to offer a safe, efficient and sustainable service".
