Winter 2023/24: AUA reduces Klagenfurt offer

In Carinthian politics, the fact that Austrian Airlines has once again thinned out the Klagenfurt-Vienna route is causing discussions. At the moment, the early and late connections are often not served. The morning flight reaches the transfer waves at the Vienna hub only suboptimal.

Austrian Airlines is saying that these would be seasonal adjustments. This is quite an indication that the demand is at a low level, so that the continuous service of the program that one had before the summer of 2023 would be uneconomical. However, the company emphasizes that the latest cuts will be reversed from September 2023.

In the 2023/24 winter timetable, Austrian Airlines will only be offering the connections that were scheduled for later afternoons three times a week. Compared to previous times, this means a reduction in the offer.
